Egencia?, the business travel division of the Expedia, Inc. group, and Concur, the global leader in integrated travel and expense management, today announced a global partnership to make the process of expensing business travel faster, easier and more accurate for mutual customers.
Through this strategic partnership, Egencia and Concur are connecting the corporate travel booking and expense management processes into one solution for mutual clients. Leveraging the Concur platform and its Open Booking APIs, the combined solution makes the process of expensing business travel easier and faster for companies whose business travelers plan, book and manage trips through Egencia and manage expenses with Concur.
Through Concur Open Booking, trips booked and managed by Egencia are automatically added to Concur Expense where the details automatically pre-populate the expense report. Itinerary details, e-receipts and credit card charges are all matched to deliver increased insight and control to their organisations, while making completing expense reports easier and more efficient for employees.
?Egencia is pleased to have brought this connected user experience together?it?s good for the traveler and the company,? says Mark Hollyhead, senior vice president Egencia Americas. ?The Egencia and Concur partnership is advancing the worldwide travel and expense experience for millions of people by integrating the best technology from our respective organisations. Travelers and travel arrangers save time, while travel managers and business decision makers gain clear insights into traveler spend and policy compliance with accurate data.?
?We believe travel should have far fewer hassles and give business people far more time to focus on the things that matter most in their busy lives. That?s why Concur pioneered an integrated travel and expense process ? simplifying the way companies manage their corporate travel and expenses,? said Michael Koetting, EVP of Supplier Management at Concur. ?Building this connected experience with Egencia required an open platform and an open mindset that allows us to deliver more value to our clients.?
The Egencia and Concur Expense connected offering is available now in the United States and Canada as a certified application and will be made available to customers in the rest of the world later this year. As VIA Egencia customers are migrated onto the Egencia technology platform, they will have access to the Egencia and Concur Expense connected offering. Set-up is quick and interested customers may contact either organisation to discuss next steps.
